Digital History and Memory - Update September 13th

I am back from my summer break and as a part of this I spend some time in Nova Scotia, Canada. Regarding digital education, I came across a great exhibition in the citadel in Halifax. The rather heavy topic “A city shaped by conflict” was was presented in a very varied and not too complicated way. There were also some good digital elements such as an interactive media table and also some analog hands-on stations where you could try on the uniforms of British soldiers. If you should ever visit Halifax, don´t forget to climb up the hill and take a look at the exhibition.

You've certainly already seen the numerous posts of the nominated projects for the renowned Grimme Online Award (at least if you´re part of the German digital culture bubble). Nevertheless, please take a look at the list of the nominated projects which always gives a great overview and I always find projects that I missed when they were published. There are also three projects funded by the Alfred Landecker Foundation among the nominees and also a lot of old and new acquaintances.
Enjoy reading these new discoveries
